view down Central Avenue on a foggy(!) Sunday morning in Phoenix
Started out the day with fog(!) in downtown Phoenix. Looked more like San Francisco than the desert.

sign stating Toys for Tot's & World AIDS Day this way
In one of the stranger combinations we've ever seen, the Toys For Tot's event was scheduled for the same time and venue as World AIDS day.
families lined up for Toys For Tot's staining in the midst of the World AIDS Day booths
The good news is we had plenty of people visiting the event this year. The bad news is that 95% of them were families with young kids waiting for their toys. Kind of weird when the event opened. All the families started piling in, and the announcer saying, "Welcome to World AIDS Day ... We pause for a moment to think about all those who have died".
sign saying Go Ahead ... Ask Us A Question
We did get a lot of questions during the day from the families, other booth participants and even a guy who had been diagnosed just two weeks earlier.

We even ended up on KTVK TV3! Our 3 seconds of fame.
empty tables and people breaking down their booths around 2 P.M.
Once the Toys For Tot's event was over, no one was showing up. Many of the booths were empty by 2 pm. The event didn't officially end until 3 pm.

A special shout out to Daniel for his help in setting up the booth and staffing it for most of the event.
