For those newly infected, they sometimes have the one-pill-once-a-day option.

For the rest of us who've been around for a while, it's more like 4 to 10 pills a day or more. And many times you'll need to take pills a couple of times a day (like every 8-12 hours).

The medications are good, but HIV is a pain. Every few years you have to switch to different medications. So, while you can start out with one pill, eventually you'll probably be taking multiple pills like the rest of us.
